Medication Management

Thoughtful, collaborative psychiatric care

Medication can be an important part of mental health care.

The right approach is highly individual. Some people are considering medication for the first time. Others want to understand whether a current medication is helping, address side effects, simplify a complicated regimen, or reconsider medications they have taken for many years.

Jenia Malysh, DNP, PMHNP-BC provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management with attention to your symptoms, medical history, goals, preferences, and the broader context of your life.

Psychiatric care may include

  • comprehensive psychiatric evaluation

  • starting or adjusting medication

  • evaluating effectiveness and side effects

  • ongoing medication management

  • reviewing complex medication regimens

  • thoughtful deprescribing when clinically appropriate and desired

  • coordination with therapists and other providers, with your permission

The goal is not more medication or less medication.

It is to find an approach that makes sense for you.

Integrated care

Mental health does not exist separately from the rest of a person’s life.

Psychiatric care may include consideration of sleep, stress, relationships, physical health, substance use, nutrition, and other factors that affect wellbeing.

When helpful and with your consent, Dr. Jenia can collaborate with your therapist, dietitian, physician, or other members of your care team.

I’m here to support you on your path toward empowerment as we explore what healing looks like for you.
